Big feelings are a normal part of growing up, but knowing what to do with those feelings takes practice.

Big Feelings, Calm Bodies is a fun, interactive workshop designed to help kids better understand their emotions and learn simple strategies for calming their minds and bodies when feelings become overwhelming.

Through age-appropriate activities, movement, discussion, and guided calming exercises, children will begin building their own emotional regulation toolbox.

Kids will learn:

  • How to identify and name different emotions

  • How emotions can show up in their bodies

  • How to recognize when their feelings are getting “too big”

  • Simple breathing and grounding strategies

  • Movement-based ways to release stress and energy

  • Healthy ways to communicate what they need

  • Calming strategies they can practice at home or school

Rather than teaching children that difficult emotions are “bad,” this workshop helps them understand that all feelings give us information — and that we can learn what to do when those feelings feel really big.

Advance registration required. Space is limited.
